Ocean Street

Microtonal horns use pitches from harmonics 32-63 but played in the standard horn range. Edgy harmonies and layers of polytonal arpeggios are heard over a low F drone. There are 25 horn lines. The name refers to a street in Sydney, Australia yet the piece extends to the issue of rising sea levels. Released in August 27, 2023. All horn parts played and recorded by myself.

This is an extended version of the music which was presented live by four horn players at Sydney MicroFest 5, June 2023. The live version played by Gergely Mályusz, Annalisa Solinas, Graham Nichols and myself.

arapacana

I made a playlist of my compositions which have just intonation horn parts in Tidal, Deezer:
